BCCI President Sourav Ganguly will discuss the roadmap for Indian cricket with NCA chief and former teammate Rahul Dravid this week.

Ganguly officially took charge as BCCI President on 23 October and has already had a meeting with the national selectors and team management. The meeting was also attended by captain Virat Kohli and limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma.

Dravid, who is now the chief of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, has already drawn a roadmap and he will be discussing the same with Ganguly on 30 October. The meeting will also be attended by the BCCI office-bearers. Also, the CEO of the NCA, Tufan Ghosh, is also expected to be present during the discussion.

A BCCI official told PTI, “Ganguly and Dravid will be discussing the way forward for NCA and the issues it faces.

The NCA is a very important centre for the rehabilitation of the injured players and a lot of stalwarts have expectations from the former Indian captains’ duo to revive the academy in Bangalore. It is currently nursing two of India’s finest cricketers, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya, who are facing problems with their back.

Their teammate VVS Laxman had said last week, “If you ask me one thing, it would be how Sourav can revive the NCA. The greatness of this Indian team is their bench strength.
