Surrey has signed Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan for the next season of the Vitality T20 Blast in 2020.

The Surrey Cricket Club recently signed Australian pacer Michael Neser for the first half of the County Championship in 2020. They have now signed Pakistani spinner Shadab Khan to play the T20 Blast.

Shadab has played 98 T20 games and has picked 121 wickets. At the international level, he has played 35 T20s and has picked up 46 wickets. His economy in T20 cricket is just 6.81 which is very impressive as a spinner and he averages just a tad above 20.

The 21-year-old is excited to play for Surrey. He said, “I've been waiting for this opportunity to play county cricket for a long time and T20 cricket at The Kia Oval is a great place to start. I'm honored to be following in the footsteps of some great Pakistan cricketers and will do my best to make both my new team and the Surrey fans proud."

"Shadab is one of the most exciting spin bowlers in world cricket and we look forward to seeing him perform for Surrey next year," Director of cricket Alec Stewart said.
