Sourav Ganguly is all set to take up the position of BCCI President and fans have already started seeing Ravi Shastri as ‘former head coach’ knowing the duo’s relations in the past.
Ganguly will officially take charge as BCCI President on 23 October 2019 after being elected unopposed. This prompted the fans to reminisce the unhealthy relations between him and current Team India head coach Ravi Shastri.

Both Shastri and Ganguly had blamed each other for the rejection of the former’s selection as head coach in 2016. While Shastri believed that he could not make the cut because of Ganguly’s presence in the selection committee, Ganguly believes that Shastri should have been personally present for the interview instead of attending it via a video call.
