Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is in the quest to bring in reputed former international cricketers Jonty Rhodes and Brett Lee as the national team's fielding and bowling coaches, respectively, says a report in Ceylon Today

Rhodes, considered one of the game's best-ever fielders, was in Sri Lanka recently to coach some school teams. The former South Africa cricketer played 52 Tests and 245 ODIs for his country.

Lee, on the other hand, has had coaching stints with different teams post-retirement following a significant career with Australia where he took over 700 wickets across 76 Tests, 221 ODIs and 25 T20Is.

That wealth of experience, SLC believes, can be put to very good use.

Sri Lanka just recently bounced back with a 3-0 whitewash of Pakistan in a T20I series in Lahore after losing the ODI series 2-0 in Karachi.

However, that remains a rare result for a country plagued by an insipid domestic structure born out of a longstanding administrative mess.
