New Zealand captain Kane Williamson spoke at the Oxford stage and all that the crowd wanted to hear was the entire World Cup 2019 Final fiasco.

Williamson is one of the humblest people on the planet and his speech at Oxford, too, started on a humble note. He did not consider himself to be the right person speaking at such a prestigious college. He said, “When I got the invitation, I questioned whether they had the right person.

The stage he was on, has hosted some of the world’s most renowned people. Former US President Ronald Reagan, Mother Theresa, Kermit the Frog, Shakira, PSY, Pamela Anderson, and Michael Jackson have graced the stage.

They've had so many influential people over the years and it's such a prestigious thing to get the opportunity to do, so I'm humbled by the experience," Williamson said.

Soon, he started talking about the Final, which was lost just about 87 kms from the location.

We come to the end of the game and go 'what the... what just happened?' But the common theme was how much people enjoyed the match and were still scratching their heads at who won and who lost and who tied,” he said.

Hopefully there's a bit of a lasting effect, not emotionally for our side - hopefully we can get over that. You had two choices really: laugh or cry. I'm glad I didn't cry. Don't make me cry now. I'm fairly sure there won't be a game of cricket ever again decided like that,” he added.

Kane Williamson has been involved in two consecutive World Cup Finals, in 2015 and 2019, and unfortunately ended up on the losing side both times.
