Indian Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane who became a proud father of a baby girl recently, uploaded an adorable picture of himself holding the baby with his wife Radhika Dhopavkar standing next to him on Monday.

Former India batting great Sachin Tendulkar took note of his former teammate’s photo and blessed his family and also left a hilarious message for Rahane and his wife.

The right-hand batting maestro wrote, “Many Congratulations, Radhika and Ajinkya. The joy of being parents to your first child is unparalleled. Soak it in! Enjoy playing the new role of a night watchman changing the diapers.”

Rahane gave a cheeky reply to Sachin while thanking him for his wishes, "Thank you so much paaji! Will see you soon for some tips."

The right-hand batsman married his childhood friend Radhika in 2014 and the couple revealed the news of pregnancy as they both shared a few pictures on social media of Radhika flaunting her baby bump.

Rahane who was the part of Indian team which dominated South Africa as they won the first Test by 203 runs and went 1-0 up in the three-match Test series, could not be with Radhika as she gave birth to the baby girl on October 5. The second Test will begin from Thursday (10 October) at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
