Nick Compton drops a savage reply to roast Shahid Afridi for his inconsistent batting

Compton took a dig at Afridi's inability to score big for his team at crucial times.

Shahid Afridi had made the then fastest century in ODIs

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi got trolled by England's Nick Compton on Instagram. The roast was uncalled for and came out of nowhere on a post related to Afridi's achievement.

In 1996, Afridi had smashed the then fastest ODI hundred off just 37 balls against Sri Lanka. He ended with 102 runs in 40 balls, which remained a record for a long time. ESPNCricinfo shared the throwback post for the fans on Instagram. The picture had the outcome of every ball Afridi faced in his historic knock.

But fans were surprised to see Compton's reply on the post. He came up with an offensive comment which irked the fans.

"And never scored a run thereafter," Compton replied on the post.

Not the first time Nick Compton has been offensive on social media. He has many times tried to take a dig at Indian captain Virat Kohli and got slammed in return by the fans.
