"Apologies to Virat and Babar," tweets Ryan ten Doeschate after leaves them behind in ODI averages list

Netherlands cricketer Ryan ten Doeschate apologized to Virat Kohli and Babar Azam on Twitter. No, he didn't do anything to ask for forgiveness. It was a sarcastic tweet after seeing himself leaving the two names behind.

Ryan has the highest batting average in  Men's ODIs among the players who have a minimum of 1000 runs. The Netherlands batsman averages 67.00 with 1541 runs. Second is Kohli, who has an average of 60.31 with 11,520 runs, followed by Babar with 3328 runs scored at an average of 54.55.

Seeing the tweet, the 39-year-old replied, "Apologies to all involved."

Doeschate, who was named the ICC Associate Player of the Year in 2008, 2010, and 2011, played 33 ODIs for his country. He scored a couple of hundreds in the World Cup 2011. Not to forget, Ryan was part of the Indian Premier League too. He played five seasons from 2011 and 2015 for Kolkata Knight Riders, including the two-season where KKR won.
