Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has always been positive towards helping those in genuine need. Now that he has become a Member of Parliament (MP), he is making good use of the opportunity to continue helping those in need.

Recently, a girl named Unnati Madan asked for Gambhir’s help to provide treatment for her ailing father who is suffering from an infection and has not been allotted a bed in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) due to shortage. She had visited every government hospital in the area and still could not receive proper facilities.

She took to Twitter to convey this to Gambhir and asked for help. Her first tweet read, “@GautamGambhir Sir I need help. my father needs help. He is suffering from CLD and a body infection which is damaging his main organs. He was admitted in aiims for 48 hours, however, was released because of unavailability of bed.

She added another tweet to it saying, “I have visited every government hospital, no one is ready to take him for some reason or the other. He was admitted in safdarjung but was asked to lay on the floor, he has water filled in his whole body, thus, can't lie down on the floor.

She added a final tweet that read, “His treatment has been stopped because I can’t afford private treatment. He is the only one me and my 11 yo brother have. Please help us @GautamGambhir sir. Please help us in arranging a bed for him in aiims.

Gautam Gambhir took note of it and replied to it asking for her contact details ASAP. “Pls send me ur no. ASAP,” he replied.
