An all-round batting effort paved way for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots' four-wicket win over Jamaica Tallawahs in a high-scoring thriller despite Chris Gayle's magnificent ton on Tuesday (September 10) in the Caribbean Premier League 2019. 

Gayle struck a 62-ball 116 that propelled Tallawahs towards a mammoth total of 241/4 in their allotted 20 overs, with able support at the task from Chadwick Walton, who made 73 runs in just 36 balls. 

However, it eventually proved not good enough as Devon Thomas (71), Evin Lewis (53), Laurie Evans (41) and Fabian Allen (37*) clicked together and brought up a once unlikely victory for the Patriots. 

Lewis was also awarded the "Player-of-the-Match" for his 18-ball half-century that got his team off to a terrific start in the run-chase. 

It was a tough day at the office for all bowlers. Earlier, Rayad Emrit (0/44), Carlos Brathwaite (0/42) and Dominic Drakes (0/47) struggled with the ball, while Fabian Allen (2/30), Alzarri Joseph (2/39) picked up a few timely scalps to tap the run flow somewhat for Patriots. 

Later, Jerome Taylor (0/36), Steven Jacobs (0/30), Oshane Thomas (4/53), Andre Russell (2/52), Christopher Lamont (0/32), Shamar Springer (0/36) followed suit and ended up conceding the huge score that Talawahs had piled on.
