Stephen Fleming is the latest addition to the coaches of ‘The Hundred’ as he is set to take up the job at Nottingham.

The Kiwi southpaw played for Nottingham in the County Championship from 2005 to 2007. He has been taking up the coaching job for some prolific T20 teams in various global tournaments.

He has the distinction of being the most successful coach in the Indian Premier League coaching the Chennai Super Kings to three titles. He also has enjoyed success with the Melbourne Stars who reached two finals in four years under him.

Fleming was obviously excited for the job. He said, “I am looking forward to returning to Nottingham. It was a special part of my career and it allowed me to fall back in love with the game. My memories with Nottingham and Trent Bridge are outstanding. I'm really looking forward to working with some of the talented local coaches.

You really have to be on your game from the first pick in The Draft and make sure you get players that represent what you stand for and how you want to play. Having local coaches is a massive part of that - working with our three counties - to tap into their knowledge of the players," he added.

He will join Gary Kirsten (Cardiff), Darren Lehmann (Leeds), Shane Warne (Lord’s), Simon Katich (Manchester) and Mahela Jayawardene (Southampton) as men’s team’s coaches in The Hundred.
