Ashes 2019: Australia Federal Police trolls England cricket team after defeat in Manchester Test

Australia would be looking to win the series by securing another victory in last Test.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) decided to take the opportunity to troll England after Australia retained the Ashes urn. Tim Paine's side defeated England at Manchester to take an unassailable lead of 2-1. Even if England wins the last Test, they can't take the Ashes Urn back.

In the third Test, England had won the game by one wicket. It was a narrow win for the hosts. New Zealand-born Ben Stokes was the hero for the home side in the third Test, and that's why Australian Federal Police took a subtle dig in their post.

The AFP tagged London's Metropolitan Police Service and New Zealand police, saying an English gang 'stole a valuable cup' from the hands of Kiwis in the summer.

"Good to see reports that a group of Australians in Manchester overnight have foiled the activities of a gang involved in a series of robberies targeting Aussies and Kiwis in England this Northern summer. You're welcome, Metropolitan Police Service," said the AFP post.

"This gang previously stole a valuable cup from the hands of some of our NZ neighbors in London, followed by one of their red-headed members attempting to wrestle an antique urn away from its rightful owners during a visit to Headingley."

"We are glad to see the urn is back where it belongs – even if the contents appear to be badly damaged by fire. Sorry New Zealand Police, we understand that gang does not want to hand over the cup anytime soon," it added.

The post was hilarious, and fans really enjoyed the banter, not sure about the England fans though.
