Mysuru Warriors and Bellary Tuskers locked horns with each other in the 19th match of Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2019 in Mysore on Monday (August 26).

Opting to bat first, Tuskers posted a mammoth 240/2 in 20 overs on the back of captain CM Gautam’s 50-ball 92* and Devdutt Padikkal’s 31-ball 57*. Krishnappa Gowtham (48 off 24 balls) and Abhishek Reddy (32 off 15 balls) were the two other significant contributors with the bat.

In the chase, Gowtham demolished Warriors’ top three for just 34 runs. But Aniruddha Joshi bailed the team out of trouble by adding 76 runs for the fourth wicket with Shoaib Manager. After Shoaib’s dismissal, Aniruddha shared a 59-run stand with Jagadeesha Suchith and forged a 30-run partnership with Venkatesh Muralidhara.

In the process, Aniruddha also brought up a jaw-dropping century in just 49 deliveries. He got out in the 18th over but not before dazzling the crowd with his spectacular 125 off 58 balls, including 7 fours and 9 sixes.

Needing 20 runs in the final over, Manjesh Reddy (30*off 9 balls) smashed Padikkal for two sixes, one four and a couple of doubles to guide Mysuru Warriors home in the last delivery of the match with three wickets in hand.
