KPL 2019: All-round Mysuru Warriors outclass Hubli Tigers by 9 wickets

Mysuru Warriors and Hubli Tigers faced each other in the 17th match of Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2019 at Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadiyar Ground, Mysore on Sunday (August 25).

Sent into bat first, Tigers rode on Praveen Dubey’s 33-ball 52 to post 151/8 on the board. Luvnith Sisodia also scored 29 off 21 balls while opening the innings.

For Warriors, Ram Sarikh Yadav (2/26), Vyshak Vijay Kumar (2/30) and Venkatesh Muralidhara (2/30) picked up two wickets each.

Chasing the target, Warriors got off to a fantastic start as the duo of Vinay Sagar and Krishnamurthy Siddharth added 91 runs for the opening wicket in 10.4 overs. Aditya Somanna broke the partnership by dismissing Sagar on 51 off 37 balls.

Afterwards, Aniruddha Joshi joined Siddharth in the middle and the pair stitched an unbeaten 63-run partnership to guide Mysuru Warriors home with 9 wickets in hand and 24 balls to spare.

While Siddharth remained unbeaten on 48 off 42 balls (3 fours), Aniruddha finished with 46 not out off 17 deliveries, including 3 fours and 4 sixes.
