Big relief for S Sreesanth came on Tuesday after his life ban was reduced to seven years. Supreme Court had revoked his ban, but BCCI referred the matter to its Ombudsman to decide. Ombudsman DK Jain went on to reduce the punishment to seven years, which will end in September next year.

Sreesanth, 36, wants to make a return to the cricket. He has expressed his desire to play for Kerala Ranji Team once again.

"I am very happy with the decision. I would like to make a comeback to the Kerala Ranji team and contribute to the team's victory. I would start training from next month. Youngsters from Kerala are doing well and that's an inspiration," Sreesanth told reporters.

Sreesanth, who last represented India on the tour of England in 2011, may not get a chance to represent India again considering his age will be over 37 when the ban will be revoked. However, the Kerala pacer isn't losing hope of completing 100 Test wickets.

"I hope I will be able to come back into the Indian Test team. I have taken 87 wickets in Test cricket. Thirteen more wickets are required to reach 100 wickets," he said.
