Nepal's leg-spin sensation Sandeep Lamichhane was left "speechless" after his US visa application got rejected for unknown reasons.

The 19-year-old cricketer is part of franchise Barbados Tridents' squad for this year's edition of the Caribbean Premier League.

"Today I visited @USEmbassyNepal to get the visa of USA for the upcoming @CPL 2019 tournament. Being a National Cricket Player representing my country in the various leagues since 2016 around the world, i got big surprise to see my visa got rejected," Lamichhane himself broke the news via Twitter on Tuesday (August 13).

"I was smiling and I was literally speechless to see all this, having all the proper documents I got this surprise. Being a sportsperson, it's gonna be a bit hard for me to go and participate in @CPL for @BIMTridents."

The development of his visa application being rejected is quite curious, really, considering the fact that Lamichhane has been travelling regularly across the globe to take part in various T20 leagues, including the IPL, PSL, BBL, BPL and recently, the GT20 in Canada.

Lamichhane has also played 11 T20Is and 6 ODIs for Nepal so far.
