India U-19 were forced to share points with Bangladesh U-19 after 11th match of the youth one-day tri-series was washed out at the Kent County Cricket Ground, Beckenham here on Wednesday, 7th August.

Opting to bat, the India U-19 team managed to score 244 in the first innings with captain Subhang Hegde top-scoring with a 69 off 97 balls while Sameer Rizvi scored a brilliant 44 off 32 deliveries to bring the side back on track from a top-order collapse of 65 for 4 against Bangladesh U-19.

Later, Divyansh Saxena (37) and Karan Lal (25) made crucial contributions and shared 73 runs between them for the seventh wicket to help India to post a fine total on the board.

While Shoriful Islam, Avishek Das and Shamim Hossain took three wickets apiece, Shahin Alam managed one scalp for Bangladesh U-19 on Wednesday.

However, the rain first delayed Bangladesh’s run chase just after India's innings finished, but they could only manage to play 5.5 overs, and later the match was forced to stop with the two teams sharing the points.

Noteworthy, the final of the Tri-National Under-19s tournament will be played between India Under-19s and Bangladesh Under-19s on Sunday, 18th August.

Brief scores: India U-19: 244 all out in 49.3 overs (Subhang Hegde 69; Shoriful Islam 3/43) Bangladesh U-19: 19 for 2 in 5.5 overs (Towhid Hridoy 7 not out; Vidyadhar Patil 2/9)
