Babar Azam's popularity is skyrocketing these days and it has forced the Somerset County Cricket Club to find new ways to broadcast the live matches after the club’s official website crashed because of the hits it got due to Pakistani batsman's fireworks in the ongoing Vitality T20 Blast.

At the moment, Azam is playing in the Vitality T20 Blast 2019 for Somerset which is among the few clubs that broadcasts the matches live on its official website, but the stylish batsman’s signing forced the club to find new ways to manage an influx of traffic.

The Pakistan fans were so the excitement to watch their best batsman making his debut in the Vitality Blast, as more than a million fans logged in for Somerset’s match against Glamorgan leading to a crash.

Since the match was not being telecast live on YouTube, Somerset was forced to upgrade the club website’s server capacity after their first game of the Blast. According to an ESPN Cricinfo report, Somerset Digital Marketing Executive Ben Warren was forced to upgrade the club's website before the next home defeat against Sussex last weekend, in which Babar 83 off 53 deliveries, attracted over 1.5 million views on YouTube.

Noteworthy, Babar, who is currently the World no 1 batsman in T20 Cricket, has been enjoying a great run in the tournament having amassed 267 runs in just six innings with two half-centuries so far.
