Lasith Malinga obtains permanent residency of Australia, as per reports

Lasith Malinga has hinted at retirement from cricket after World Cup 2019.

Lasith Malinga | GettyAccording to the sources, 35-year-old Lasith Malinga has got Australia’s Permanent Residency (PR) and will be moving with his family down under after retirement.

“He may also take up some coaching assignment in Australia”, sources said.

Malinga is already in Australia and will be meeting some of his friends on Saturday. He has already spoken with a chief selector (Ashantha de Mel) and has informed his date of arrival in Sri Lanka to take part in ODI series beginning July 26. Malinga ended up with 13 wickets to his name in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2019.

There have been several Sri Lankan cricketers who have moved from Sri Lanka to seek some coaching stints. One more name is about to be added in the list.
