Hopefully, we will get some Indian players...I think it's allowed to have those players who retired from international cricket. I have enjoyed playing alongside them in the IPL," Rashid said when asked if he would miss the Indian players who are not part of the meet.

While due to BCCI policies, the contracted Indian players are not allowed to play any T20 league apart from the Indian Premier League (IPL).

While talking about the BCCI policies, the GT20 brand ambassador Brian Lara said, “I am not being critical of the BCCI or their cricketers, but the world needs to see some of the great cricketers from India playing here as well. I don’t know where that stands. No hiding the fact that the Indian cricketers are the most attractive players.

Rashid Khan was picked by the Rotterdam Rhinos who have appointed former South Africa opener Herschelle Gibbs as their head coach.

When asked about playing with experienced Gibbs in the side, the recently appointed Afghanistan skipper said, “It's great to have Gibbs as he has been a great player and brings in a lot of experience. It will give a chance to youngsters who can show their skill to the world, the domestic players especially.
