Rameez Raja, former Pakistan captain, and cricket commentator has called for a complete overhaul at the coaching department of the country from the Under 19 to senior side to bring the talent to fore to make a strong team who can challenge the cricketing world in future.

After Men in Green’s awful World Cup 2019 campaign in England, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are planning for huge changes in the coaching department and Raja believes that not only senior team needs change, but also fresh management and administrators need for the First-class cricket in the country.

Raja said on his YouTube channel on Friday, 19th July, “Our first-class, under-19 and club cricket has collapsed therefore a new system is required to bring the talent to fore.”

Meanwhile, the commentator admitted that PCB chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq brought some young talented players including Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Imam-ul-Haq and Imad Wasim but was not impressed with his World Cup squad selection.

Raja signed off by saying, “The approach in selection of the squad was of the 80s and 90s which has no place in today’s modern cricket. We have to change the mindset of the game and should focus on bringing in new management and administrators in first-class cricket.”
