Former India captain MS Dhoni is in his last phase of cricketing career.  It was expected that Dhoni will retire after the World Cup 2019, but he hasn't hinted anything. But senior BJP leader Sanjay Paswan has hinted Dhoni may join politics once he is done with cricket.

Speaking to news agency IANS on Friday, former Union minister Paswan said there is a possibility that Dhoni may step into politics. "On this issue, there has been a discussion for long, although this decision will be taken only after his retirement," he said.

"Dhoni is my friend, he is a player of world fame and there have been discussions on bringing him into the party fold," the BJP leader added.

Recently, India lost the World Cup semifinal and was crashed out of the competition. Their dream of winning the 50-over World Cup one more time was crushed by New Zealand who won the game by 18 runs.
