Mohsin Hasan Khan, former Pakistan Test batsman, and former head coach, was reportedly offered the role of the chief selector or Pakistan cricket team manager by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Earlier, Mohsin had served the national team as head coach and the chief selector as well in 2012, recently submitted his resignation as head of the PCB's Cricket Committee.

According to the Press Trust of India, Mohsin will be honored with either as a chief selector or national team manager’s responsibility in Pakistan cricket after the conclusion of the ongoing World Cup 2019.

The source revealed on Monday, 24th June, “Mohsin is being considered for the job of chief selector or manager of the Pakistan team.”

The 64-year-old was chief selector in 2010 and 2011 before being named the interim head coach of the national team by PCB, while the Men in Green won Test series against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and England under his tenure with the national side.

Noteworthy, the Pakistan board has already announced that its Cricket Committee would hold an inquiry into the team's and support staff's performances in the last three years after the World Cup 2019 before making recommendations to the Chairman and Board of Governors.

On the other hand, PCB’s Cricket Committee’s Managing Director Wasim Khan has also started the process of making changes in the PCB while a new selection committee and team management are likely to be announced after the ongoing ICC event in England and Wales.
