The complete itinerary for India's first assignment after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 – a full-length tour to the USA and the West Indies – was announced by  Cricket West Indies on Wednesday (June 12).

The Caribbean side will host India in three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests, starting August 3. The tour kicks off with two T20Is in Florida, USA on August 3 and 4. The third and final T20I will be played in Guyana on August 6.

More importantly, India will begin their World Test Championship campaign on the same tour. The first Test will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua from August 22-26, followed by the second at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica from August 30 to September 3.

The ICC World Test Championship has been introduced by the ICC to give greater context to the traditional format of the game and will be played over the next two years. It will feature 9 of the 12 Test-playing nations, each of whom will play a Test series against six of the other eight teams. The top two sides will then contest in the ICC World Test Championship final in June 2021.

"The West Indies and India have a long and colourful rivalry, and the MyTeam11 Series will bring more thrilling competition across every format of the game," Cricket West Indies Chief Executive Officer Johnny Grave said in a release.

"We'll be seeing some of the World's best players go head to head in T20Is, ODIs and then in the new World Test Championship. West Indies fans, young and old, will have the opportunity to see some incredible cricket."
