Peter Borren faces backlash from Kohli fans after his sarcastic tweet is misconstrued

Borren had tweeted after Yuvraj Singh announced retirement from international cricket.

Yuvraj Singh's retirement filled Twitter with emotional tweets, but there was a sarcastic tweet from Peter Borren, Netherland cricketer, who waved goodbye at the Indian star with an interesting post.

Borren took a jibe at Virat Kohli while lauding Yuvraj, calling him an outstanding batsman and better than the former. It was all in fun and a fun tweet. However, fan failed to get the light side of the tweet and attacked Borren which looked really bad and exposed their lack of wittiness.

“I played against Yuvraj a couple of times and even I couldn't get him out, which makes him a better player than Kohli IMO,” he wrote.

When India and Netherland had come against each other during World Cup 2011, Virat was dismissed by Peter, the dig here was just for fun and there was no diss directed at Kohli. But the fans were too dumb to get it.
