Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Friday (May 24) announced the dates of all 2019/20 summer home fixtures against England and Australia. While the former travels to the rainbow nation for a full tour comprising four Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is, the latter is confirmed for a short visit including three ODIs and as many T20Is against the national side.
The Test series against England will begin with the Boxing Day Test in Centurion from December 26, followed by the traditional New Year's Test at Newlands in Cape Town, starting January 3. The remaining two matches will be played in Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg.
The three lions will also indulge in few warm-up games before the Test series with a two-day game against an Invitation XI preceding a three-day match versus South Africa A, both in Benoni.
CSA chief executive Thabang Moroe said the Test series against England will hold greater significance, "as this will be our first home series in the ICC World Test championship following our away series in India in October."
After England's final fixture on February 16, Australia will kickstart its foray against the Proteas in five days' time.
