Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag has come up with his own set of awards after the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 12 was done. You will see awards for emerging players, stylish players or fair play in IPL, but Sehwag introduced fans to the 'desi' awards for star players.

He posted a couple of tweets with nine awards to the players he thinks deserve the recognition this IPL season.

The first batsman he mentioned was Rishabh Pant, who got 'Silbitta' award for crushing the bowlers throughout the season. Another dangerous batsman this season who was a major headache for the opponents, Andre Russell, got a mention in Sehwag's tweet. He was brutal with the bat and scored runs with a strike rate of 204.81, his IPL career best.

Then came MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings, who remained the top scorer for his franchise this season and guided them to final. He got 'Torch' award for guiding the CSK team to the finals.

The Purple cap holder Imran Tahir wasn't ignored in the award section. He got himself old jeans for being old but fresh. Tahir picked up 26 wickets this season.

His second tweet featured Jasprit Bumrah first. He got a Baraf Silli award for being cool under pressure with the ball. Delhi Capitals' pacer Kagiso Rabada got Tullu Pump, David Warner was given Juice Machine, Hardik Pandya got Masal Dani and another Delhi cricketer Amit Mishra was fined with a Traffic Challan. It was cheeky from Sehwag to give Mishra a Traffic Challan, a dig at his obstructing the field incident against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
