The spirit of cricket placard was out again by the cricket fans on Twitter after a controversial stumping in the one-off ODI between England and Ireland. English wicket-keeper Ben Foakes was cheeky to dismiss Andrew Balbirnie. The top order batsman was sent back on 29 after his foot was found to be in the air after the appeal.

It wasn't a usual stumping here. Wicket-keeper Foakes waited for Balbirnie to take his foot off the crease before dislodging the bails.

The incident took place in the 25th over, bowled by Joe Denly. Here is a clip of the stumping which divided Twitter. While some believed it was totally unfair by the keeper, others applauded the keeper for being smart.

It was Ben Foakes' day as he also top scored for England with unbeaten 61 runs, to secure the victory for his team against Ireland by 4 wickets.
