Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah retain top positions in latest ICC ODI rankings

Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have also gained substantially in the rankings chart.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah on Monday (April 1) retained themselves at the top of the latest ICC ODI rankings for batsmen and bowlers respectively. 

Virat consolidated his position with 890 rating points, whereas Bumrah continues to lead the bowling chart with 774 rating points to his name.  

Opener Rohit Sharma remained second in the ODI batting rankings with 839 points, while the wrist-spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal continues to feature among the top 10 bowlers. Kuldeep holds the seventh position with 689 points and Chahal is ranked one spot below him with 680 points. 

Meanwhile, Australian captain Aaron Finch also climbed up in the ODI rankings and joined the elite list of top 10 batsmen for his magnificent performances in the just-concluded series against Pakistan. 

Finch, who aggregated 451 runs across five games played in UAE, has gained 12 slots and is now the joint ninth position holder in the ODI rankings with young West Indies batsman Shai Hope, who also has 744 rating points. 

Usman Khawaja has also been rewarded by ICC for his good showing in the last few weeks. The left-handed batsman has jumped up six slots to reach the 19th position in the batting rankings. 

Glenn Maxwell has also moved forward 10 places to earn himself the 23rd rank among ODI batsmen. Brave leg-spinner Adam Zampa is another one of noticeable beneficiaries with a leap of four spots among bowlers, he is now the 45th best international 50-overs bowler in the world. 

In the team rankings, England remains the No.1 ODI side with 123 points, just ahead of the Indian cricket team which holds the second position and has 120 points.
