Former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis has heaped praise on Virat Kohli, saying that no batting feat is out of reach for the Indian captain.

Kohli has already amassed 41 one-day international hundreds – only behind his batting hero Sachin Tendulkar (49), while he has notched up 25 tons in the traditional format of the game.

"Kohli I believe can go as far as he wants to. He is a world class player. He is hungry. He works hard. He has proved that over the years. The main thing about him is that he keeps it simple. People enjoy watching him bat," Kallis quoted as saying by PTI.

When asked if Kohli would be able to surpass Tendulkar's tally of 100 international centuries, the legendary all-rounder replied: "Only Kohli can answer that. If he is fit enough and willing enough to go, but nothing is out of reach for him."

Kallis said India losing the ODI series against Australia won't have much of an impact on the World Cup.

"I don't think Kohli will be under pressure. He has produced the goods time and time again. He is a world class player and the guys follow what he does. He is certainly one of the best in the world," he opined.

There have been a lot of talks about how the World Cup-bound players need to effectively manage their workload during a daunting tournament like the Indian Premier League.

Commenting on the same, the KKR head coach said: "All the guys are professionals. They will know when to rest. We have a great support staff, the physios, the trainers who will know how to handle the guys."

The Proteas great also predicted an open World Cup before adding that his home team won't be favourites for the quadrennial event.

"I think this year, the World Cup will be more open. The sides have to play good in the key moments. I don't think South Africa will be considered as a favourite but sometimes when the pressure is less on you it can help. But surely you cannot write them off," Kallis concluded.
