India is in sorrow after the Pulwama attack, in which 42 CRPF personnel were martyred by Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist. The whole country mourned for the brave soldiers and now in respect of those who lost their lives, Indian skipper Virat Kohli announced that the RP-SG Sports Honors event has been postponed.

"The RP-SG Indian Sports Honours has been postponed. At this heavy moment of loss that we all find ourselves in, we would like to cancel this event that was scheduled to take place tomorrow," he wrote on Twitter.

Virat had condemned the attack as well. His tweet read, "I'm shocked after hearing about the attack in Pulwama, heartfelt condolences to the martyred soldiers & prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured jawans."

The cricketer had to take criticism for his promotional tweet of the event. He was asking fans to vote when the incident happened. Virat had to delete the tweet after fans were upset.
