India's loss by four runs against New Zealand in the third T20I which was also a series decider had sparked a debate on social media. But few believe it could have been chased had Dinesh Karthik not refused a single in the last over.

On the other hand, some cricket enthusiast believes giving the strike to Krunal Pandya would not have made any difference.

It all started when India needed 14 runs off four balls and Karthik had not gone for an available single, making the equation 14 off 3 deliveries. The 33-year-old had backed himself to do the task but he failed.

Former India cricketer Deep Dasgupta feels it was right to move by Karthik to not take a single. "That's his job now, to finish games. I would have been upset had he taken the single. That would be shirking his responsibility, glad he didn't. You win some and you lose some but the attitude is what matters," he tweeted.

But seems like Aakash Chopra, his mate differs from his views. He wanted Karthik to go for the run because Krunal was also well settled and hitting the ball as good as Karthik.

"Really? Considering how cleanly Krunal was striking at the other end? Then why take a single off the following ball?? That was a bit of a brain-fade moment in my humble opinion, mate. Not that it would’ve changed the outcome but ‘that’ single should’ve been taken," replied Chopra.
