Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir clarified that he owns no restro-bars and pubs in Delhi which are apparently running by using his name. Gambhir took to Twitter to clear the confusion and said he has no connection with them directly or indirectly.

"Hi friends, there have been restro-bars, restaurants, and pubs spring up in my name in central and west Delhi. I wish to clarify that I have nothing to do with them directly, indirectly or in parts. In fact, I have no such establishment in my name anywhere in the world," Gambhir wrote on Twitter.

Last year, Gambhir had filed a case against pub Guhungroo and Hawalat in Delhi's Punjabi Bagh which used his name. The plea was earlier rejected by a single judge bench.

"Nothing has emerged on record if there was any loss to the goodwill of the plaintiff (cricketer) in his field (cricket) because of running of the restaurants by the defendant (pub owner) with the tag line in his own name," the single judge said. Apparently, the pub owner's name was also Gautam Gambhir.
