Varun Aaron is delighted with his return to India A set-up after doing really well for Jharkhand in the premier domestic first-class competition, Ranji Trophy. 

The right-arm pacer has a chance to impress the national selectors with a good show in the two-match unofficial Test series versus England Lions, beginning February 7 and he wouldn't be more aware of the importance of these games for his career. 

"I am more aware of what I want to do, it comes with age. I would also like to thank the selectors for showing faith in me," Aaron, who last played a game for India in November 2015, told Sportstar on Monday. 

"I have been rewarded for my hard work. I feel stronger than before mentally because I have absolutely no doubts of what I want to do."

Aaron kickstarted his Test career with Umesh Yadav in 2011 but has since then seen Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar form the core group of India's fast bowling prowess under coach Bharat Arun. 

Even some youngsters have leapfrogged him in the pecking order. But the 29-year-old is not too worried about these things. 

He is banking on the invaluable county cricket experience that he recently gained and an improved showing in Indian domestic circuit to help him move forward. 

Aaron claimed 25 wickets in Ranji Trophy 2018-19 for Jharkhand and will be joining the Rahul Dravid mentored India A squad on Tuesday.
