KL Rahul fell for 13 runs in 25 balls for India A | Facebook/Kerala Cricket AssociationKL Rahul finally got to play some cricket after he was suspended due to his remarks on the chat show Koffee with Karan, along with Hardik Pandya.

However, after much drama and both players apologizing unconditionally, on the advice of the newly appointed amicus curiae PS Narsimha, the CoA announced that it was lifting the suspensions with immediate effect and Pandya was asked to fly to New Zealand to join team India.

KL Rahul was added to India A squad which is facing England Lions in a series of five one-day matches. In the second match in Thiruvananthapuram against England Lions, KL Rahul opened the batting with Ajinkya Rahane, the India A skipper.

However, the return didn’t last long, as Rahane was dismissed for a duck first ball, while Rahul was expected to hold the innings together.

But Rahul could only manage 13 runs in 25 balls with two boundaries before Jamie Overton had him caught by Zak Chappell. India A was dismissed for paltry 172 in the end.

Rahul’s recent form has been quite poor, making just 57 runs in five innings at an average of just 11.40 in the recent Test series in Australia. There are two more matches to be played in the series, also in Thiruvananthapuram.
