Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been in incredible form with the willow with a record-breaking spree over the past few years and upcoming One Day International series will be an enthralling one for the right-hander, as he is on the verge of breaking multiple records against New Zealand.

Following a wonderful outing in Australia, Kohli is all set to break Virender Sehwag's two records in the upcoming five-match ODI series in New Zealand.

The 30-year-old dashing right-hander needs only fours runs to become India’s second highest run-scorer against New Zealand. At the moment, Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with 1750 runs, while Sehwag is placed second on the highest run-getters list with 1157 runs in 23 innings.

Kohli, who has 1154 runs in 19 innings with five hundreds and six fifties, is now just four runs away from breaking Sehwag’s record and become the second highest run scorer against the Black Caps and he would like to achieve the feat in the first ODI to be played on Wednesday (January 23) in Napier.

Meanwhile, the dashing batsman also needs only one century to overtake Sehwag’s record of most One Day hundreds against the Kiwis, as the Indian skipper is currently sharing the record with Tendulkar with five ODI hundreds as second highest hundred to their names against New Zealand.

In the blue jersey, Kohli was in good form with the bat in Australia as he contributed 153 runs in three innings at an average of 51 in India’s 2-1 win the ODI series and the Captain would like to continue with his form in New Zealand to add more laurels to his already illustrious career.
