England Cricket Board will be introducing a new 100-ball tournament and AB de Villiers is eager to be a part of it.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli had questioned the format and said that he isn't eager to be a part of the tournament. But the South African cricketer disagrees with Kohli. He said, "I can't see anything wrong with trying something different."

"I'm not set in my schedule at the moment but I would love to play in the UK. I'm sure with the tradition and the culture of cricket over there, it would be very well supported. I would love to be a part of it."

Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers also hopes more teams will tour to Pakistan in upcoming days. De Villiers will be part of Pakistan Super League this year and he thinks his involvement in the tournament will make a difference.

After the terror attacks on Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore on their Pakistan tour in 2009, teams have stopped going there for bilateral series, except Zimbabwe.

De Villiers will be the most iconic player in the PSL this year. "I felt that I had this opportunity to maybe make an impact to help international cricket return to Pakistan," he told the BBC World Service.

"I was reluctant to go a few years back when we were all a bit worried, but I feel the time is right to go back there. I'm hoping to go there and have some fun and show the whole world that Pakistan is safe to travel to again."

On a return to international cricket and be a part of World Cup 2019, De Villiers doesn't feel to make a comeback. "I feel I've made the right decision to retire.

"If they (South Africa) do approach me – and I don't think that will happen – we'll have a conversation and I'm pretty sure that I will be staying over here and supporting the team."
