Sanjay Manjrekar, the former Indian cricketer and commentator, lent his support to Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul, urging people to be mature with the immature cricketers and forget whatever happened in the Karan Johar’s chat show last week for the sake the cricketing future of the duo.

His comment came after Pandya and Rahul's international careers seem in jeopardy after the duo was suspended by the Indian Cricketer Board (BCCI) after fans went berserk at the all-rounder over his derogatory comments on women recently in Koffee with Karan.

While the BCCI suspended the duo for the current ODI series against Australia and the upcoming series against New Zealand, the CoA is currently investigating the matter.

Meanwhile, the suspended cricketers on Monday (January 14) issued unconditional apologies to the BCCI responding to the second show cause notice issued to them, while the board asked to submit the findings in the matter in 15 days from now.

A senior BCCI official revealed to PTI, “Yes, Hardik and Rahul have submitted their reply to the fresh show cause notices that were served to them. They have tendered an unconditional apology. The CoA chief has instructed the CEO to conduct an inquiry as per clause 41 (c) of the new BCCI constitution.”

Noteworthy, Pandya and Rahul appeared on Karan Johar's chat show, where the all-rounder made some 'sexist' and 'misogynist' remarks on women which did not go down well with the people.
