Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul are all set to face more loss in the aftermath of their Koffee with Karan controversy following the two-match suspension by Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) on Friday (January 11).

Troubles continue to follow Pandya and Rahul after their sexist remarks on a TV show, as the duo are losing out on endorsements of brands and companies, and even the all-rounder has already lost out on his association with the Gillette, as their Gillette Mach3 has suspended its association with him.

A company spokesperson said, “Hardik Pandya's recent comments do not reflect the values, Gillette. We have suspended our association with Hardik until we decide on the further course of action.”

Meanwhile, Rahul endorses brands like Puma and Cure fit, and Pandya has deals with around seven brands, while the companies are now reviewing their association with the duo following the controversy.

Aviral Jain, MD of Duff & Phelps, which released a report on celebrity brand rankings, said, “As we have seen with celebrities such as Aamir Khan, who lost his endorsements after he made comments that did not go down well with a certain section of audience, or even Tiger Woods who got embroiled in a controversy, Pandya and Rahul's brand valuation may be impacted in the short run.”

He signed off by saying, “However if the BCCI decides to restrict cricketer's appearance at social events or talk shows, there may be a bigger impact on the community.”
