Indian skipper Virat Kohli was requested by Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh to bring a change in his diet. Kohli, who had once revealed in a chat show that he eats grilled chicken only, is requested to switch to "Kadaknath chicken" instead.

According to the Kendra, "Kadaknath chicken" is low on cholesterol and fat, and comes with high protein and iron properties.

In their letter to BCCI Krishi Vigyan Kendra wrote, “Krishi Vigyan Kendra Jhabua (Kadaknath Research Centre) wants to suggest Virat Kohli and BCCI that in the meet of Jhabua's Kadaknath chickens the cholesterol and fat are very low with higher protein and iron content as per report of National Research Centre on Meet Hyderabad. Therefore, you and your team members should fulfill [sic] your chicken requirement by Jhabua's Kadaknath chickens.”

The letter addressed to the BCCI and the Indian captain was accessed by news agency ANI. Here is the post:

Earlier, there were rumors of Kohli changing himself to a vegan to achieve high-level fitness. A source had said, “Kohli started this diet four months ago and is feeling stronger as his digestive power has increased. He isn’t missing meat, eggs or dairy. Two years ago, when he was on a normal diet he had said that he would go vegan if given a choice. He is now feeling stronger than before."

Kohli himself hasn't spoken about him turning into a vegan in public yet.
