Shane Warne, legendary Australian spinner and cricket pundit, believes that disgraced Steve Smith and David Warner should walk straight into the national side once their ball-tempering bans are over.

At the moment, Australian cricket has been facing a difficult period ever since the infamous ball-tampering scandal in March this year in South Africa, and the Kangaroos are visibly missing the services of their batting powerhouses and desperately needs Smith and Warner back at the helm.

Warne said both the talisman batsmen are class acts and their quality will help the duo to regain their respective places in the national side after they serving the full extent of their bans.

Commentating during the ongoing Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, Warne said on air, “Steve Smith and David Warner are a class act. They should walk straight into the side (after serving the full extent of their bans).

At the moment, Smith and Warner are serving one-year bans each for their respective roles in the infamous ball-tampering scandal that rocked Australian cricket, and are set to available for the national selection ahead of the Word Cup 2019 to be held in England from May.

Meanwhile, Australian head coach Justin Langer has already said that Smith and Warner should be back for the One Day International series against Pakistan to build up for the showpiece event next year.

Noteworthy, Cameron Bancroft, who is also serving 9-month ball-tempering ban along with the duo, is all set to return to action later this December in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2018-19.
