Sanju Samson ties the knot with his longtime girlfriend in Kovalam

Indian wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Charulatha in a simple ceremony at a resort in Kovalam on Saturday (December 22).

The couple belongs from different cultures as Samson is a Christian, while Charulatha is a Hindu Nair, therefore, the marriage was celebrated under the Special Marriage Act on Saturday and the wedding reception will be held in the evening the same day.

On his wedding, Samson said: “There were just 30 of us from both the families and it was a very simple function. We are very happy that we have got the blessings of both the families.”

The two have known each other since their graduation at the Mar Ivanios College, and now the couple finally started their beautiful journey together with the blessings of their families.

While Charulatha is currently doing her post-graduation, Samson is currently working hard at the domestic circuit with Kerala state team to be back for national contention.

While their love story is nothing less than a fairytale that beautifully narrated by the Maritus Events on the social media, “A few years ago, a girl and a boy fell in love while studying in this campus…. years passed by and their lives have changed in many ways but they haven't changed. They kept the promise made to each other and have decided to spend the rest of their lives together.”

Noteworthy, the 23-year-old was part of the Rajasthan Royals in the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) and got retained by the franchise at a bid price of Rs 8 crore for IPL 2019.
