Smriti Mandhana has some good memories from Bellerive Oval. The Hobart Hurricanes batswoman has scored her maiden international century here in 2016. She added 102 runs in an ODI game against Australia.

The first century is always special. She enjoys playing here proves her another innings which was followed by the ton. She had scored 52-ball 55 runs at the same ground which turned out to be match-winning.

"I scored my first international century here, so that was one reason why I wanted to come back to Hobart," Mandhana said. "I've had some good memories from Hobart."

The southpaw may not have found a good start in this season but she followed it up with a 41-ball 69. In her first game against Stars, Mandhana was dismissed off a duck. 

Mandhana, who was earlier part of Brisbane Heat in season 2, wasn't really interested to join Hurricanes for the fourth season. But the Indian coaching staff convinced her to join the franchise as it will benefit her. 

"I had that in my mind but as a player, you need to come out of your comfort zone," Mandhana said. "All my coaches said you need to go if you want to develop as a player you need to leave your comfort zone."

Mandhana had a silent World T20 2018, but the year has been very productive for her. Kia Super League showed her potential as a T20 cricketer. 

The next shorter format World Cup is set to be played in 2020 and the venue is Australia. Mandhana knows WBBL will be helpful for her in future. "As a player, you need to come out of comfort zone … when you come out and play in the WBBL or the KSL (England Super League) there are different expectations of you as a foreign player," she said.

"And (dealing with those expectations) helps when you play in big tournaments like a World Cup.".
