With a one-game advantage, Bangladesh are all set to face West Indies in the second ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday, December 11. In the first ODI on Sunday, Bangladesh was hardly troubled as the hosts won the game by five wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. West Indies, who decided to bat first, were restricted to just 195/9 in their innings thanks to some disciplined bowling by Bangladesh’s pacers. During their run chase, the Tigers weathered an early storm to calmly cross the finish line with more than 14 overs to spare. While the action was one-sided on the field, Fantasy Cricket players would have enjoyed some standout performances by a few players, especially on the Bangladesh side.

Best economical pick – West Indies had a pretty dismal day against Bangladesh in the first ODI. While the batting was poor from the visitors, the bowlers weren’t able to trouble the home side significantly. One player that clearly stood out from the rest of the team was all-rounder Roston Chase. In an innings which saw West Indies’ top order crumble, Roston Chase added some stability and was able to take West Indies to a score close to 200.

Top captains & vice captains – If there is one player that Fantasy Cricket players will be thankful for, it is the veteranShakib Al-Hasan. The all-rounder has been a great contributor and plays a big role in both the innings of the match. Picking up a wicket and scoring 30 runs in the run-chase, Shakib Al-Hasan did have an impact in the match and could get you some points in this match too. Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, who was a star tuner for the Tigers in the Asia Cup, contributed well to the home side’s run chase. Rahim walked onto the pitch at a tricky time in the run chase which required him to stay and build the innings. The wicketkeeper did exactly that as he scored a mature half-century that took Bangladesh to safety. Rahim is a veteran player who knows exactly what to do and is a player who you could bank on.

Smart pick – Bangladesh has two really good seamers in their side currently. In the first ODI against West Indies, both the pacers came good picking up three wickets each and completely dismantling the West Indies batting attack. Mashrafe Mortaza, in particular, was incredible, only leaking 30 runs in his 10 overs. Mortaza can also bat if need be and is a player that you can bank on.

Cautions Pick – West Indies opener Kieran Powell has been out of form since a long time and he also failed to score some runs in first ODI. So don’t pick him.

My XI – Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Mushfiqur Rahim (Vice-Captain), Roston Chase, Shai Hope, Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mashrafe Mortaza, Oshane Thomas, D BIshoo, Mehidy Hasan, Darren Bravo
