"Come and contest election in Pakistan, you may win," says Imran Khan to Navjot Singh Sidhu

Navjot Singh Sidhu had gone to Imran's Prime Minister oath taking ceremony.

Former Indian cricketer and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu who is currently serving as Minister of Local Government, Tourism and Cultural Affairs has gotten himself in trouble again.

He has been speaking in favor of Pakistan irking many people in India, however, he took it one step further when he got a picture clicked with Sikh Militant Gopal Singh Chawla in Pakistan. Chawla is a well known Khalistani supporter.

If that wasn't enough, former Pakistan World Cup winning captain Imran Khan, who is now Prime Minister of the country, invited him to contest the election in Pakistan. He may end up winning. The statement was sarcastic.

"I heard there was a lot of criticism of Sidhu when he went back after my oath-taking ceremony. I don't know why was he criticized. He was just talking about peace and brotherhood," Khan said.

"He can come and contest election here in Pakistan's Punjab, he'll win," the cricketer-turned-politician added. "Hopefully we will not have to wait for Sidhu to become prime minister for relations to improve between the two countries and before that, Indian leadership will take positive steps."

After Imran, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said the Congress leader seems to be getting “more love and respect” from the neighboring country than in India. “He (Imran Khan) him (Navjot Singh Sidhu) to fight elections from Pakistan. He (Sidhu) seems to have more love and respect in Pakistan than what I noticed over here. He has some good relationships over there.”
