Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of India A's three-match List A series in New Zealand as he continues to recover from the painful hamstring injury sustained during the Asia Cup in UAE, this September.

Following his last visit to the National Cricket Academy(NCA), the BCCI medical team feels that the 25-year-old still needs a week or so to attain full match-fitness and subsequently got advised against travelling down under just yet.

The all-rounder is now expected to prove his physical condition during Baroda's Ranji Trophy match in Mumbai from December 14.

While announcing the squad for the respective series on the tours of Australia and New Zealand, chief selector MSK Prasad had informed that Pandya's inclusion for the three one-dayers in New Zealand - December 7, 9 and 11 - was subject to the player's fitness.

The youngster has been a vital cog in India's wheels across all formats for a while now and while he isn't likely to be put at risk by featuring in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting December 6, Hardik will most probably be back playing at the highest level during the ODIs in Australia.

Hardik has played 11 Tests, 42 ODIs and 35 T20Is for the country so far.
