Indian cricketer MS Dhoni is reportedly participating in the doubles category of a local tennis tournament in the JHC Cricket Club in Ranchi on Wednesday.

The tournament, which kicked off on Monday, will be played till November 30. Apart from doubles, there are other categories as well which includes women's singles, men's singles, U-16 clashes, says the report of Prabhat Khabar.

Not the first time Dhoni is seen taking part in sports other than cricket. Apart from being a football enthusiast, he also plays Badminton which is also shown in his biopic 'MS Dhoni - The Untold Story'. The 37-year-old has often taken part in local football matches.

Dhoni is currently away from cricket after being dropped from the T20I side. India played a three-match series against West Indies and then Australia without the senior cricketer. He was replaced by Rishabh Pant after his continuity with failures.

The Indian cricketer had shared videos of spending time with his 3-year-old daughter Ziva recently. He was also spotted having fun playing Kabaddi during a promotional advertisement for the Pro Kabaddi League recently.

Dhoni is expected to return to the India side for ODI series against Australia next year. The decision to keep the Jharkhand cricketer out from T20I was criticized by many former Indian cricketers. They believed if selectors are seeing Dhoni as a part of ICC World Cup 2019, then he should be playing both the formats of limited-overs cricket.
