Indian cricketer MS Dhoni used to be India's best finisher and one of the most reliable batsmen in the lower order. But things have changed now, as the wicket-keeper batsman who used to hit bowlers for sixes with ease hasn't hit many sixes lately. Even his game against spinners isn't worth mentioning.

India has moved on from Dhoni in the shorter format and found Rishabh Pant as his replacement.

But what went wrong for MS Dhoni in recent time? Former Pakistan cricketer Rameez Raja and Shahid Afridi talked about the Jharkhand cricketer. "MS Dhoni would be flabbergasted as what he did for last 15 years isn't working anymore," said Rameez.

Afridi believes no one has the right to show Dhoni the exit door after his contribution to the team. He also added the 37-year-old's experience will matter a lot for the Indian team.

"What Dhoni has done for team India nobody else can and nobody has the right to tell him when to retire. 2019 Dhoni needs to be there for India to have good chances" Afridi said.

India is playing Australia in a three-match T20I series. Dhoni is expected to join the squad for the ODI series next year in January.
