Indian cricketer MS Dhoni is giving back to the game which made him what he is now. The former India captain 'MS Dhoni Residential Cricket Academy' at Gaikwad-Patil International School situated at Wardha Road in Nagpur. 

The academy is in collaboration with SGR Sports Academy and in association with Aarka Sports

Dhoni was present during the launch of the academy. Along with him, Mangesh Raut (Co-founder and MD, SGR Sports), Mihir Diwakar (Managing Director, Aarka Sports), Mohan Gaikwad (Chairman, Gaikwad-Patil group) and other important guests were also there.

The 37-year-old left the venue soon after inauguration, but whatever time he spent with the fans made them happy. There were chants of 'Dhoni Dhoni' which showed his wide fan following.

Dhoni was asked questions from the highlight of his cricketing career. Talking about his batting promotion in World Cup 2011 final, he said, "I knew most of the bowlers of Sri Lanka as they were part of the Chennai Super Kings earlier. I promoted myself because Muralitharan was bowling at that time. I have played him a lot in the CSK nets and I was confident that I will be able to score runs freely against him. That was one of the main reasons why I pushed myself up the order during the final," said Dhoni. 

Famously known as 'Captain Cool' also spoke about his role as a keeper. He said being a keeper he is automatically the vice-captain of the team as it gives the best view to follow the game and take important decisions. "Before me, selectors were quite reluctant to make stumper as captain saying he will be burdened too much. But I changed their view with my successful tenure as the captain. 'Keeper is in the best position to help any captain analyze the match. He is very close to the action and can accordingly guide the team leader about many things. He is an asset for any captain. He can release the burden on the captain with his inputs," said Dhoni.

Sharing the key to his success, he said, "The key to success is preparation before every match. I prepare myself physically and mentally in the right spirit. Although it is vital to prepare well, one should not try too much, as it may backfire."

When asked as to why he gave the last over to bowler Joginder Sharma during the final match of T20 World Cup against Pakistan in 2007, Dhoni simply asked, “Which other bowlers could I give the over to?”
