Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik is no longer part of the upcoming edition of the United Arab Emirates-based T20 tournament – T10 League, as the cricketer has withdrawn from the event on Monday (November 12), citing a very emotional personal reason.

Shoaib announced the decision after the conclusion of the limited overs series against New Zealand on Sunday (November 11) with an emotional post on his official Twitter handle on Monday (November 12).

The all-rounder has confirmed that he will not part of the Punjab Legends in the second edition of the T10 League, as he wants to spend time with his wife Sania Mirza and son Izhaan Mirza-Malik.

Malik and Sania Mirza became parents of a baby boy on October 29 and now the new father wants to spend time with his family following the New Zealand series.

However, Malik admitted that this was a tough decision to make himself unavailable for the tournament but said his family is currently important than anything else.

He wrote on Twitter, “I announce with mixed feelings that I will be not be part of @PunjabiLegends_ #T10League to spend time with my family. This was a tough decision (sp since my wife thinks I should play) but I want to be with my wife and son more than anything else. Hope you all will understand ????”
